It all started in 2021, while out celebrating a Texas Tech win in Houston surrounded by our closest friends. I had just moved back home after a short stint in Chicago, and Kim was home from Spain after two years living abroad. Despite going to the same college and sharing the same group of friends, we had never met before that night. After a little bit of liquid courage, I made the crazy decision to jump on a (slow) moving train. She jumped on with me and has stayed on ever since.

We started out long distance, driving back and forth from Cuero to Houston. After a year of weekends on the road, she convinced me to give it a chance and move closer. One short year later, we took another leap and officially moved to Austin where we have now lived for over 3 years. What followed was building a life together full of love, trust, cats, and (so many) plants. We’ve explored 11 national parks, 10 countries, and even jumped out of a plane together.

After four years, I made an even bigger jump and asked Kim to marry me on June 10th, 2025, during a backpacking trip in Portugal. We love discovering the world and we're always on the lookout for our next adventure. Wherever life takes us next, we’re grateful to be walking (and occasionally jumping) into it together. We're still riding the same train, just with bigger dreams.
